(More customer reviews)You have no idea how hard it is to find a BLACK color suet basket (most are green).The only black one sold at my local big franchise has very big grids, like only 4 rows both vertical & horizontal. Big grids mean that rodents can access the suet inside.This one, as you can see from the pic, has much smaller grids - 1/2" space to be precise. This makes rodents & their lil' paws a lil' tough to pry inside. This one opens on the top w/ a swing door instead of a big front door like others.This may not sound convenient but it's a lot easier to drop in suet cake, logs, peanuts from the top without taking it off my pole.It has no conventional door latch but instead uses a small chain to secure both the door & the basket itself - genius.If you want to attach this to your 1" pole, use the Wildbird Unlimited suet basket attachment and it works wonder w/ this too.The seller should market this as the world's only "squirrel-resistant" suet basket & it sells like hot "suet" cakes (pun intended).
