(More customer reviews)I agree that the birds have great difficulty retrieving seed from this feeder.I contacted the seller and they advised using only black oil sunflower seed.That is what I am using.With my old feeder, I had to refill several times a week.I filled this one several weeks ago and only had to refill yesterday.The birds land on it, try fruitlessly to get a seed, then leave.I'm losing my birds to the neighbors.Also, I find it difficult to fill.It has to be hanging to do so.I have my feeders hanging high to prevent squirrel and chipmunk access.I usually fill my feeders straight from the bag.Well it is a little difficult to lift a 25 lb. bag of feed above my head.So I have to use a scoop.Annoying.
