(More customer reviews)Made of metal this feeder will not break as easily as the plastic ones.However, in the coldest winter months, birds don't seem to like the metal perches as well as the plastic or wooden ones.
The most important issue is drainage.This feeder does not drain properly.After a rainy night the seeds andhulls are packed in the tray restricting access to the dry seeds inside.This soggy mess could result in sick birds.Enlarging the drainage holes with a drill might help but I haven't tried yet.
