(More customer reviews)I bought this feeder specifically hoping to attract a pair of cardinals that I had seen eyeing my old feeder (another mesh style feeder that didn't have a platform area for cardinals).I wasn't sure if the platform would be big enough for them, but they almost immediately took advantage of it.The other birds (chickadees, nuthatches, and downy woodpeckers) seemed a little confused by the new feeder at first, but they figured it out.
